Snow Day!

When I woke up this morning I found out that we had a level 3 snow emergency and that we would be stuck at our house the whole day. I grabbed both my digital camera and my old school camera and trampled around in the snow. It was great to hear the shutter and the advance of the film since this is the first time I have used my Canon in awhile. I went out twice, with overcast skies and when it all cleared up and the sun as setting.

Sorry the thumbnails are sideways - click on them and the new picture will be right. I haven't figured out all the technicalities of this site yet.

I kept trying to get this icicle dripping. The digital camera had a really hard time focusing on the icicle itself. Once I get my film developed I hope to have caught the drip at the right time because I'm sure those pictures will be sharper.

the hill behind our house is very steep and very hard to capture without a wideangle lens. However, I was to amazed by the drifting and snow capped woods.

  1. I love the picture of you in the snow, it's adorable. It surely shows how deep the drift were at some spots. This is a blessing for a winter photographer. In a way I want to get 9 more inches of snow, so we can take more pictures.
