Valentine's Day

I know my husband well enough to be sure that I was not going to receive flowers for valentine's. Which I really don't mind because they die, I would much rather get some sort of plant. When we went to Meijer Friday night to drop off his prescription I decided to pick up these pretty pink tulips for myself since I will be able to transplant them to my garden come spring.

I didn't think about trying them against a black background until after my little photo session, and now they are about dead, so to late.

Flowers

MY FAVORITE SUBJECT....

FLOWERS!

PhotobucketPhotobucket

The first two photos were from a wedding and the third one was in in northern Indiana.
The rest of the flower photos in this post are grown right in my own garden. :0)

The hostas are from my mom, I'm lucky they came back from the dead after transplanting them.
The calla lillies at the end I found at Lowe's, I'm hoping they come back this year!

Shasta daisies are my favorite and this bush keeps getting bigger every year.
The hosta flowers are so dainty; Almost like little fairy homes.

The black-eyed susan came out of nowhere but was stunning against the stone face to our house
I was surprised my roses bloomed this past summer, I had just planted them.
They were much more beautiful they I had anticipated and smelled great!

This Dalia was stunning, but I forgot to dig up the bulb. Hopefully I can find a replacement next year.
The yellow flower is from a pumpkin plant that the squirrels planted after snacking on ours last year.
